Effect of Fe on the photocatalytic removal of NOx over visible light responsive Fe/TiO2 catalysts
We synthesized different Fe/TiO2 catalysts and studied the influence of Fe on the structure and performance of Fe/TiO2 as a photocatalyst to remove gaseous NO in air under visible light. The electron paramagnetic resonance results revealed that Fe ions substituted the Ti ions of TiO2 prepared by coprecipitation and homogeneous precipitation method. More Fe ions were incorporated into the crysta...
متن کاملInvestigation of photocatalytic degradation of phenol by Fe(III)-doped TiO2 and TiO2 nanoparticles
In this study Fe (III)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by sol-gel method at two atomic ratio of Fe/Ti, 0.006 and 0.034 percent. Then the photoactivity of them was investigated on degradation of phenol under UV (<380 nm) irradiation and visible light (>380 nm). Results showed that at appropriate atomic ratio of Fe to Ti (% 0.034) photoactivity of Fe(III)-doped TiO2 nanoparticles increa...
متن کاملContinuous-Flow Photocatalytic Degradation of Organics Using Modified TiO2 Nanocomposites
In this study, TiO2 nanotubes (TNTs) were fabricated on a Ti sheet following the anodic oxidation method and were decorated with reduced graphene oxide (RGO), graphene oxide (GO), and bismuth (Bi) via electrodeposition. The surface morphologies, crystal structures, and compositions of the catalyst were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy, Auger electron spectroscopy, X-...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic CO2 conversion over alkali modified TiO2 without loading noble metal cocatalyst.
Surface modification of TiO2 with NaOH promoted the chemisorption, activation and photocatalytic CO2 reduction. An optimized loading amount of NaOH kept a good balance between CO2 chemisorption quantity and BET surface area of TiO2. This noble metal free method provides a simple pathway for effective multiple H(+)/e(-) CO2 photoreduction.
متن کاملTiO2-graphene nanocomposites. UV-assisted photocatalytic reduction of graphene oxide.
Graphene oxide suspended in ethanol undergoes reduction as it accepts electrons from UV-irradiated TiO(2) suspensions. The reduction is accompanied by changes in the absorption of the graphene oxide, as the color of the suspension shifts from brown to black. The direct interaction between TiO(2) particles and graphene sheets hinders the collapse of exfoliated sheets of graphene. Solid films cas...
